Matt Gaetz Storms Out Of Hunter Biden Deposition: ‘I Hadn’t Heard That One Before’

(Republican Senate News) – Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz was shocked as he walked out of the closed-door deposition Wednesday where President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden made an appearance to provide testimony to the Judiciary Committee as part of an impeachment inquiry against his dad. In fact, Gaetz was so stunned, he proclaimed, “I hadn’t heard that one before.”

I guess you could say the Biden family and lying go together like French fries and ketchup, meaning they are a natural pairing. You will rarely find one without the other. In fact, you could say that if you’re a Biden, lying is just as easy as breathing. And that is not at all something to be proud of. Nope. Not at all.

As per The Western Journal, Gaetz remarked that some of what Hunter had to say was “interesting.” I’d take that to mean that what he said was likely a bunch of creative yarns all spun together to craft a narrative that makes his daddy look like a hero for the cause of liberty or some such nonsense.

“The impeachment probe stems from Republican scrutiny of Hunter Biden’s overseas business relationships and the extent to which his father was connected to them, according to Fox News. As part of the investigation, the committee is looking into Hunter Biden’s past work with Ukrainian gas company Burisma when Joe Biden was vice president,” the report noted.

“Joe Biden has denied any involvement in his son’s business dealings. Hunter Biden has also stated publicly that his father did not financially benefit. The committees have heard testimony from several of Hunter Biden’s former business associates, including Tony Bobulinski, who claimed Joe Biden was involved in the family’s business,” it continued.

Despite all of the deny, deny, deny strategy employment, there’s a ton of evidence to suggest that President Biden, during his time as vice president in the Obama administration, used his influence to help his son with various business ventures while taking a slice of the proceeds for himself.

Kentucky Republican Congressman James Comer commented that the GOP has documented how “Biden has met with nearly all of his son’s foreign business associates as they were collectively funneling millions to the Bidens.”

If you remember back in December, Hunter Biden tried to look like a crusader against injustice — in reality he was moping and whining, “why is everybody picking on me” — by defying a subpoena that demanded he make an appearance and provide testimony in the inquiry, however, his legal team negotiated on his behalf for him to appear.

“Since the hearing was a closed-door session, the public will not know exactly what went on there until the transcripts are released, which could happen in as little as 24 hours, according to CNN. However, Gaetz gave us a little teaser of the explanation Hunter Biden provided as to why he was on the board of Ukrainian company Burisma,” The Western Journal reported.

Gaetz informed members of the press that there were quite a few interesting moments during the deposition, however, none of them lit a candle to the one where “Hunter Biden told us that he joined the Burisma board ‘to counter Russian aggression.’”

The Florida Republican scoffed, saying, “I hadn’t heard that one before!”

“Thank goodness we had Hunter Biden on the Burisma board because that was essential to his strategy to stand up to Vladimir Putin,” Gaetz added with more than a sprinkle of sarcasm.

Man, what would we have done without Hunter Biden on the board of Burisma, earning a fat paycheck to do absolutely nothing? Russia would have clearly taken over the entire world and we’d all be learning Russian right now. Give me a break.

Reporters then asked Gaetz if the committee queried Hunter Biden on what kind of value he brought to the companies, to which the congressman replied, “Yeah we’ve asked those questions, and there is an illusory value,”

“It’s a mirage to believe that Hunter Biden was engaged in international business,” Gaetz declared. “This was a bribe masquerading as an international business transaction. Nothing more, nothing less.”

When Gatez was asked to express his thoughts on Hunter’s opening statement he replied, “I thought it was a pretty strange statement — perhaps it jumps off the page when he says it in his own words.”

You have to love Gaetz. His sarcasm is next level.

In his opening statement Hunter Biden claimed that the GOP “hunted” him as part of their “partisan political pursuit of my dad.”

“You have trafficked in innuendo, distortion, and sensationalism — all the while ignoring the clear and convincing evidence staring you in the face. You do not have evidence to support the baseless and MAGA-motivated conspiracies about my father because there isn’t any,” he went on to say.

Hunter shares his dad’s love of writing fables based on his own life. Remember when President Biden was supposedly arrested on his way to meet with Nelson Mandela? Or how about the time he met with an Amtrak conductor who was already dead? Lot’s of whoppers. So many in fact Biden should change his name to Burger King.

  1. Showboat Gaetz should be discounted whenever he opens his mouth. He’s don’t nothing to draft laws for the American people in the House, only throw monkey wrenches into the works, the now not-so-smooth workings of half the legislative branch of government. Actually there is no credible evidence of Biden lying, father or son, no evidence of wrongdoing, nothing that would stand up in court–so Gaetz and the other House extremists must put on a show. Florida is embarrassed every time this guy speaks. He should be ousted from office by voters in November.
