Keith Olbermann Hints At Assassination Of Trump

(Republican Senate News) – Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann published a post on X that seemed to suggest he was “hoping” former President Donald Trump would end up being assassinated. This led to immediate calls for his account to be banished from the platform. People have certainly been booted from it for a whole lot less, that’s for sure. Any sort of threat against a major public figure, or anyone else for that matter, should be grounds for having one’s account permanently suspended.

According to a report from Fox News, “Olbermann was referring to the Biden-Harris HQ X account flagging a clip of Trump saying he had been persecuted worse than any president in history, including Abraham Lincoln.”

“Trump says he has been treated worse than Abraham Lincoln, who was assassinated,” the Biden campaign account stated in a post published on Saturday.

“There’s always the hope,” Olbermann said in response.

Olbermann has a reputation for making inflammatory comments. In fact, one of his most recent includes calling for the dissolution of the United States Supreme Court because they did not rule the way he wanted them to in regards to Trump’s name being removed from the primary ballot in Colorado. This man doesn’t believe the American people should have the right to choose whoever they want to lead our country. Unreal.

With a temper like this, Olbermann has proved he’s not mentally mature enough to handle the responsibility of having a social media following. Boot him. Like yesterday.

“One account that responded to Olbermann’s post suggested the commentator’s account should be ‘permanently suspended’ for appearing to endorse someone killing Trump, the presumptive nominee for the 2024 Republican nomination. Trump is trying to become only the second president since Grover Cleveland to win another White House term after losing a previous re-election bid,” Fox noted.

“Multiple major media outlets and political figures have criticized Trump in the wake of an Ohio campaign speech in which he argued that the American auto industry would experience a “bloodbath” if Biden were to be re-elected in November,” the report continued.

During an appearance on CNN host Dana Bash’s ‘State of the Union’ program, former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, attempted to take the “bloodbath” remark and turn it into some sort of threat against the American people, despite that not at all being the context in which the remark was made.

“We have – we just have to win this election because he‘s even predicting a bloodbath. What does that mean? He‘s going to exact a bloodbath?” she went on to ask.

Neither Olbermann nor Trump’s campaign responded to a request for comment.

  1. Keith Olbermann should be questioned and put on watch after saying what he did. But, of course he will not be. Madonna said she was going to blow up the White House and nothing happened to her.

  2. Where is the Secret Service? This man is not a stable, rational man and is a threat to the former President. He should be investigated and incarcerated if necessary.

  3. Of course, Olberman is wrong to to have said that. I agree. No one should threaten violence against anyone, not just public figures. But it’s pretty rich how y’all behave as though only Olberman is doing this when Trump himself is guilty over and over and over again of the same thing. Remember second amendment solutions? Remember telling people at his rallies to punch people and he’d pay their legal fees? Remember “Stand back and stand by”? And on and on and on. Of course, he gets other people to carry out the violence he suggests because that’s what mob bosses do. History will not treat you and your ilk well for your support of this lying, dangerous criminal.
